General Information

This season our club is organizing a Performance Development Camp (PDC) and Showcase for our skaters of all levels! The PDC will take place March 10^th, 13^th & 17^th from 4-7pm at the Centennial Arena.  On Thursday March 20^th the skaters will perform their showcase numbers to a live audience of family and friends!

Attendance

Skaters must be able to attend all 3 practices and the show. Your specific skater’s times at the PDC dates will vary and will be communicated to you closer to the dates. (the entire block is 4-7pm, your skater won’t be on the ice that entire time).

Fees

The PDC and showcase are included in all skater’s registration fees and skaters of every level are welcome to attend. Entry fees to the live performance will be by cash donation only at the door.

Registration

Skaters must be registered for the PDC and registration can be done through your uplifter account on www.vesc.ca. Starting time for the show TBD.

Costumes

Skaters will be asked to wear specific items of clothing.  Details, starting time of the show, and preparations will be sent in the upcoming weeks.

Decorations

All participants will be asked to decorate a neon-colored Bristol board with their name and Jungle themed décor and/or drawings, etc. The posters will be taped to the boards during the show. Poster Boards will be supplied by the Club. Skaters are welcome to take their posters home after the show.

Volunteering

The VESC relies on their volunteer board members and committee members to organize the PDC and showcase. We need extra helping hands to make this showcase a success! If you would be interested and available to give back to the club and lend a hand to help set up, act as a den parent, ice captain, or door attendant on the night of the live performance, please let us know at the table at your skater’s session or email us at committees.vesc@gmail.com.

Please note skaters who do not wish to perform are more than welcome to attend the show as an audience member and are encouraged to join us upstairs afterward at the banquet!
