Off ice warm up and cool downs are introduced as a fundamental part of an athlete’s development. Skaters ought to present for both as a mandatory part of their programming. SKATERS WILL REQUIRE RUNNING SHOES.
On ice sessions will include a warmup, three lessons, a sport specific group lesson, and a cool down. Lesson time may comprise of circuits, the use of ice markings (ie. the circles and lines), specific drawings, or free form. This flexibility allows coaches to teach skills in a variety of formats and allows skaters to become knowledgeable of typical practice styles for their desired sports. The sport specific lesson may include a power skating drill, a specific skill, or creative exercises (note: this lesson is chosen by the skaters, not grouped by the coaches).
We look forward to joining your skater on the next steps of their journey!
